I could go back in time and pull out a landscape photo, but I decided to reflect the view of Earth that I have right now.
I live in Brooklyn, in a neighborhood with lots of trees and in walking distance to Prospect park. But it’s still New York. One morning I went out to run and saw this one leaf that had randomly lodged itself in a chain link fence.
You could look at it as the natural world asserting itself against man-made barriers, or it could be a visual metaphor for how little nature exists in a concrete, steel and glass city.
